Diploma

Upon completion of our program, students receive a Waldorf Teacher Diploma. In order to receive a diploma, students must have missed no more than two assignments per year, attended all courses and paid tuition in full. Those who do not meet these requirements will receive a certificate in Foundations of Waldorf Education.

Tuition

Our annual tuition is $6,000. There is an estimated $250 per year in additional costs for books and supplies.

We are committed to keeping our program accessible, and financial aid is available on a needs basis. Upon acceptance to the training, students may submit a financial aid request.

Our Commitment to Diversity is a Commitment to the Future

We are dedicated to training people of color and other marginalized people who would like to become Waldorf Teachers by offering support with tuition when possible.

Location

Classes are hosted at Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm at 655 Willowside Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95401. A remote hybrid option is available.

Schedule

Our training is three years, part time. Classes run from September to May, meeting Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00 - 6:45PM, as well as two full Saturdays per year. Each year begins with a two-week Summer Intensive in June from 8:30am - 3:30pm. An observation in a Waldorf classroom is done during the first year. In the following years each student is required to complete a three-week practicum in a Waldorf School.
